It is one of the largest online affiliate Networks and gives you the opportunity to make thousands of dollars monthly by selling products for order companies. Below is a guide that I have picked up on the Internet that will guide you through how to set up Clickbank, what to look for, what to sell and how exactly to make money.
1) Visit the Clickbank Marketplace here
2) enter the keywords of the product you’re interested in selling and that best suit the niche that your site will be based around. Or any product that you have an interest in.
3) Click on the “Go” button and you’ll get a list of products. Search through these products for ones that you are interested in selling.
4) When viewing different products, you will want to analyze the following:
$/Sale – This means the amount of money that you will earn from each sale. Remember to go for large commission prices, maybe $20 -$30 so that it can cover your advertising fees.
% refd – This is the percentage of sales made by the affiliates of this product. You should look for percentages over 70 as it means that the product is selling well for the affiliates and not just by the owners own promotion.
Gravity – Gravity tell you how many affiliates are now promoting the offer. So therefore the higher the gravity the more affiliates there are promoting it. The lower the gravity means not so many are promoting it, therefore not much competition. You should try go for between 20 – and 100 for this.
Now time to analyze whether or not the products you selected are worth selling. You will need the merchant id for this.
In order to get the merchant id all you need to do is click the “create hoplink” button under each product. The merchant id appears after your clickbank id in the hoplink
Next we have to analyze the performance of individual products over a period of time. This is crucial to judge whether the products that we have selected are indeed the best ones.
To check the performance trend of a Clickbank product, head to CBTrends
Enter the merchant ID of the selected products and click on “Click to get the performance trends”.
CBTrends will give the performance trend for the product that you have selected. It will give the trends for the period the product has been with clickbank.
Remember that a product who’s gravity is increasing over time is always a good product to promote. If it is decreasing over time, it is best to steer clear from that product.
In some niches, you will find that the product with highest gravity is actually declining in popularity and gravity whereas a competitor product with lower gravity is gaining in popularity and gravity. In such cases pick the product that is gaining popularity as it is getting more popular and you can benefit by promoting it.
You can promote products through Google Adwords or through your website. Google Adwords seems to work best for a lot of affiliates.
