Eight Tips For Effective SEO On Site And Article Titles And Description

We all want good SEO and search engine traffic and we all try so hard to succeed in achieving it. We write post after post and yet we wonder why are our articles not getting traffic?

Well let me explain a little tip that will better help your search rankings.

All sites and articles need effective titles, tags and descriptions. This will help you rank better in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

1. First hint is to always remember to write a unique title on all your articles and unique meta descriptions

because search engines LOVE unique and if you are just copying other sites titles and descriptions then the search engines will not rank you as high as the original websites that had the title.

2.Make sure that your titles are globally recognised and catchy so that users will be curious and interested to know more about your website.

3.Try including the title of your artle or site in your description.

4. Include your targeted keywords in your meta title but be sure not to overdo it. For meta description, just simply state what is the web page all about. Here are some hints:

Title between 50 – 60 Characters is the best,

Description should be used 180 to 245 Characters,

While the Keywords must be less than 320 Characters.

5. If there is a target location where you will promote your site or products, just put the location on the title and keywords as this will help search engines to add to correct location domain and users looking for that specific site in a specific location will find it easier.

6. Use different title tags for every single web page.

7. Do not use special characters in your meta tags.

8. The title and the description of your actual page should be exactly the same in your meta tags.

[Tutorial] How To Add Feedburner To Your Blog 101

When I first started blogging I always wondered how many people are following my blog? You know how many subscribers I had too my RSS feed. Each Day I’d check my statscounter and see that maybe 20 people had visited via RSS which made me think how many are actually following me. It annoyed me that I could not find out because I was using the normal lolble.com/feed that come with Wordpress.

When I visited friends blogs and other random blogs and websites I was always greeted with that lovely little image on the top of their webpages that said “24k readers” or what ever amount they did have. How did they get this? How do I implement it into my website?

Well to be honest when I found out that it was feedburner I signed up straight away , but I had no clue on how to actually add it too my website which really angered me. It was only lately while this blog became my main concern I got off my back side and added feedburner. So for new comers and people like me that just didn’t know how. Here is a tutorial on how exactly too add Feedburner, and that little readers image too your website or blog.

Right well the basic service on Feedburner is free. Feedburner is now owned by Google so you may sign in with your Google Account details or open a new Google account.

So first you need to sign up: So go here and sign in with your Google Account info or sign up for a new account.

Now when you sign in you’ll be brought to the home page it is from here that we will begin. Find the box that says “Claim your feeds now”

claim

If you click Claim your Feeds now this will lead you too a sign in page too sign into your old Feedburner account. So what you want too do is “Burn a Feed Right This instant”

So you enter your feed address into the box. EG. Mine is lolble.com/feed

When you enter click “next” and follow the instructions, setup will take no longer than 30 seconds.

Now you have a choice as too what you want too sign up for. Were going to stick too the basics for now:

  • Standard Stats or Total Stats “Pro”
  • Browser-Friendly Burner
  • SmartCast (for podcasters)
  • SmartFeed (makes your feed work in any browser)
  • Google AdSense
  • Link Splicer

So now that you have activated your feed, you have given your feed a title and you have got your new Feedburner URl it’s time to begin. Right so now click on “publicise” tab at the top of the page, from here I want you to click on “Feedcount” This will show you a lot of different images of the amount of subscribers that you have. If you are confident that you have lots of subscribers or that you will have lots then you can use this item, but if you only have 5 or 6 then maybe it’s not the messege you want to convey to your readers and potential followers.

So best thing for you is too use “Friendly Graphic

But if you are using the feed count simply choose your colours and press “activate” and add the HTML code too where you want it displayed on your web page or blog.

feedc

So back too the friendly graphic. This is where your going to create the new RSS images too replace the previous ones on your blog, or of course you can just replace the URL that the previous images link to , to your new feedburner URL. The Friendly Graphics give you many different image options so there are plenty for everyone too choose from, once again find the one you like and activate it and then simply add the code to your blog or web page where you want it displayed.

feeds

You can also try using “Headline Animator” a lot of people prefer to use this in email signatures etc I don’t use it but it is an option for you guys.

So one last thing is adding a Feedburner subscription box too your blog sidebar.

1. Log into Your New Feedburner Account.

2. Click the Publicise tab, like we did earlier.

3. Click on “Email subscriptions”

4. Click the Publicize tab:

5. Click “activate”

6. Now copy the code that feedburner gives you and insert it into your web page or blog.

And there you go you will have a new subscribe box on your blog where a user can input their email and sign up too your RSS. Just reminds me I should really add this :D

So I hope this makes things a bit easier for you now when you go too implement Feedburner into your website or blog.

Any other tips or tricks just comment and let us know!

How To Make Money Online Without Spending A Cent [Part 1]

Today I will be talking about a couple ways you can start making money online for free. The best thing about these two methods is any one can do it! You just have to be able to read and write.

The first method I’m going to talk about is “Bum Marketing”. Bum marketing is pretty much writing key worded/niche articles to sell affiliate products aka article marketing. You may be wondering what a key worded/niche article is? Well it is simply an article written trying to promote and sell a product. This article has carefully chosen keywords for better optimization and is usually based around a niche product.

Here are some tools I recommend for finding the best keywords.

Here a tools I recommend for finding high paying niches.

Now its time to sign up for a Clickbank account here. After you have signed up its time to find a niche. If you are using Buyer Keywords Generator the process is easy and automated. On the other hand if your doing it the old fashion way you can carefully hand pick your niche. I will go into more detail about hand picking a niche in another post. Once you have a good niche you should find a product that fits that niche in the Clickbank marketplace. If you find a product that matches your niche your ready to start writing. Write an article about 300-400 words long much more than that and people will not finish reading it. When writing this article keep in mind your keywords and really try to promote and sell this product to the buyer who is the person reading the article.
Here are some websites I recommend submitting your articles to.
This is just the basics but it doesn’t get much more complicating! Ill go into much more detail on bum marketing later. Keep checking back!

Getting Listed In Google Search Engine In Less Than 24 Hours

So you read on forums everyday when a “noob” as their so called or a new comer joins up. The first question usually after “how can I make $1 million a day” is how can I get ranked top in Google, or how can I get my site into Google.

It’s a question that is easily answered but is it always answered correctly? Well I mean you can easily go to the Google Submit Website page and add your site too be crawled. Then when Google finally lists it after 4-5 days sometimes, you then do SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ) and try to get to the first page. This is by building back-links and adding quality content.

So want too get listed in 1 day? Actually sometimes even  a lot shorter time?

OKwell here we go:

Firstly set up your blog or website ( This always helps ha ha)

Now you need to fill your website with some quality UNIQUE content. Unique is a word that is VERY important when it comes to building websites and getting listed. Google loves unique content and it likes webmasters that have unique content. It’s a word you’ll here me say a lot in my tutorials.

Write so you have taken the time out too write up some lovly unique content, now your going to go over too Google and sign up for Google Webmaster tools. Now submit each of the urls that lead too your original content to the Google search engine and of course your main URL in the format http://www etc etc:

submit

Now your going to generate an XML sitemap for your website, I’d recommend using xml-sitemaps.com as it is easy too use. If you have a wordpress blog you can always use the Google XML sitemap Plugin for wordpress. Remember building a site map for youe website is one of the most important things as it makes it easier for the Google Spider to crawl your site and makes indexing a lot easier.

When you have completed this then submit your site map too Google. Read here for more info

Now add your site content and site too digg.com. When you have added it, ping your content and site too Search engines (Google , Yahoo, Msn, Bing, Ask)

Now you can also add your homepage too Facebook, Twitter, Stumble and Myspace, and once again ping your home page and content.

Now a good option is too Check your domain in Whois sites as this generates some nice back links and you will appear on the Alexa recent 20 activities list this will really help indexing your website.

Sites to check whois include:

whois.domaintools.com

Dnscoop.com

websiteoutlook.com

Why not add your URL too your signature in forums? After you have completed all this you should be listed in less than 24 hours.

You can also try some press releases from other blogs , or commenting on some Do-Follow blogs ( Like mine ) this will give you back-links which are very important.

Tutorial check points:

1. Write unique content

2. Join Google webmaster tools

3. Add URL of content and site too Google Search Engine

3 Generate XML Sitemap and also add too Google

4. Add site content and URL too homepage to social networks and ping them too search engine. Digg.com, Facebook, Myspace Stumble etc

5. Do a whois search on your domain, with domaintools.com , dnscoop.com etc

6. Comment on Do-Follow blogs ( like mine ) and add URL to Forum signature.

Name.com “Expired Domain Search”

We all like it when we find good expired domains, but they aren’t that easy to come by with out searching deep or knowing the secrets of the trade. Well here’s one good way of finding good keyword .com’s and .net’s that are expiring and expired with a tool that is right under your nose’s.

If you have not used Name.com before I recommend that you give them a try . I have over 500 of my domains currently registered there , and to be honest they are real easy to use. But it’s the tools that they provide on their website that we are looking at now, and one of these is the ” Recently Deleted Domains” tab. Go to the home page of name.com here

Now search for the “Recently Deleted Domains” tab Found Here

1111

The tab can be found on the far right of this image.

With Name.com’s great expired domain tool, you can search for .com’s and .net’s and include hyphens or numbers or both. Yo can also set your maximum lenght for the domain. Another great feature is that you can set how far back you wish to search for expired domain names, thus giving you a broder range and more to choose from.

Next step is to choose your keyword. When you have though of the keyword that you like then you can decide weather you would like the domain to have that keyword at the beginning or end of the domain or if you want the domain to contain it.

The max number of results per page is 50 , which is quite low but it gives you time to look at each domain carefully and tell you the price and how long ago it was deleted.

If you don’t want to keep visiting the site daily you may also sign up to the email alerts which name.com will email you every time a domain is deleted that contains the keywords that you have chosen. A great service by name.com which is worth a try.

DOMAIN NAME HAPPY HOUR:

Name.com doe’s a program which is entitled ” Domain Name Happy Hour” this is where they drop the registration fee of expired domain names between the times of 3pm and 10pm. You can wait till then to register the domain cheaper but it is recommended that if you find a good domain to register it straight away as it may be snapped from you the longer you wait.

Now go out and register some keyword domains!

Let me know what tools you use and how useful they are thanks.
