Facebook Growing By 500,000 Users A Day

facebook-logoFacebook is a GIANT it’s been said that it could soon rival Google , in fact Google made profits of over $21 billion last year and experts believe that when Facebook taps into a way to make money from its 300 MILLION users that it can soon rival against Internet giant Google and produce revenue along the same lines.

It’s no wonder that Google are keeping sites like Twitter and Facebook close and when you hear articles about them being the next big thing when it comes to search then there is no questioning why.

In August of 2008 Facebook hit 100 million registered users and now according to AllFacebook , that number has risen, and boy has it rose , to a nice 325 million users.

so want to know how well Facebook is growing? Well Mashable done the math:

– August 26th, 2008: 100 million users

- January 7th, 2009: 150 million users

- April 8th, 2009: 200 million users

- July 15th, 2009: 250 million users

- September 15th, 2009: 300 million users

- Friday, November 6th, 2009: 325 million users

Myspace thought they were going to lead the pack for good. After the take over by news corp it went down hill. They have agreed to deal with facebook for music rights cause they know how big facebook are and will be. Myspace need to stick too the music site of things and allow facebook do the social aspect.
