I have been noticing this a few times over the past while but it never really took my attention. It appears that a subset of Gmail users are opening their Gmail accounts to see that there are no unread emails. I then relaxed and searched on Twitter and it appears others were also impacted when Google modified how it handles IMAP GET MESSAGE BODY. Even mails on my iPhone were effected by this.
