Google Banned From China

The Chinese government has stooped all Google extensions including Google.com from being viewed in the country.

Reports say that the home page is still working for Google.com but searches from China are not allowed.

On March 22, google Inc finally decided to quit it’s service in China and moved google.cn to google.com.hk, just 7 days later, google was thoroughly banned.

Blogger.com and youtube.com have been banned from China and now it looks like Google is following in their footsteps.

It will be interesting to see if there is a future for search engines in China and who will be running them.
