Los Angeles goes Google for $7.2 million

Google has done it again, this time going google billboards look good for something. Los Angeles’ city council has just approved a Google apps deal worth $7.2 million.

CNET reports that LA will become one of the largest government agencies , outside the District of Columbia, to make the switch to using hosted Google email and application services. The deal also hinged around an agreement with Computer Sciences Corp as storing information in the cloud raises security concerns for the council.

The going Google campaign if this deal goes through will be off too a great start. With The Us Government and the City of Los Angeles both joinging the Google team, they are building up quite a impressive customer base that will surely attract more top dollar enterprise clients.
