When I first started on the Internet I will admit I new nothing not a single thing. I was unsure where to start. I didn’t know how to buy domains nor did I know how to set up a website. How was I going to get better?
It all comes down to tutorials, help guides and most importantly research looking around the Internet and getting use to everything, taking notes and learning how others earn on the Internet, as well as listening to what others have to say on forums and blogs.
Where did I decide to start? Well I searched the World Wide Web until I discovered how I could buy domains. I saw that they were not that expensive only $5.99 for registration for a year. So I thought to myself I’ll have to get one or two of them.
So what next? Well I needed a credit card to buy them. So that’s where my friend came in. He had a credit card and nicely bought me the two domains that I wanted in exchange for cash.
Later that day after receiving the domains I was thinking well what can I do with these?
Maybe sell them? Well one thing you will learn is that domains have no value until they have back links, traffic, and PR or unless they are badly needed by a company. But it is not often that this occurs. So I once again went researching, the first forum I ever joined and came across was Dnscoop. This site is a forum and has a domain estimation tool. After awhile of checking how much domains such as yahoo.com and google.com were worth I decided to join the forum and see if I could meet some people who could help me.
On the forum I introduced myself and got talking to a few people about the online business, different money making skills, and domains. I met a guy on the forum who gave me a $15 donation to help my online business. I accepted this through Paypal an online payment processor. All online workers should have an account with an online processor, weather it be paypal, Alertpay, moneybrokers etc. So with the $15 donation I went to ebay.com and managed to scoop 10 domains for the $15. I was delighted. I told the guy who gave me the money and he said I was a smart young guy and would one day reach success and well he wasn’t wrong.
So he told me to PARK my domains. What’s parking you ask? Well parking in my definition is owning a domain name and allowing an other company to host it and make a website with it. On this website they will put advertisements from other companies. When a visitor visits the site/domain and clicks one of these advertisements the company whose advert this was pays the parking company money. This can be anywhere between $0.01 and $100 (I will explain more on this later on). The parking company then take a % and you receive the rest. So this is what I done I opened an account with Parked.com. I started earning between $2-3 a day. Not much but its money for nothing. This started to rise as I added more domains that were either expired or had a great number of back links.
So this was just how I got into domain parking. Later in the lessons you will learn how I got into everything else. And how to succeed in these.
To start domain parking you need to buy domains, I recommend that you buy them at name.com. They are cheap at just $5.99 a year and they have a nice system to help you make up a good domain.
The second thing you will need to do is make a paypal account, this will allow you to receive money from the parking companies.
The next stage is to request an account at a parking company. I recommend Parked.com to start off.
The next post will explain what domains are the ones to register. Keywords, PPC and just what domains will earn you the most per click.
