Video sales pages are fast becoming popular in the world of internet marketing as an alternative to the traditional sales page. A sales page is essentially something setup to take the reader, the ‘potential buyer’ on a bit of a journey, and almost all sales pages follow the same sort of template.

They’ll start by pitching a problem to you, suggesting that it’s a problem that you, the potential buyer, suffer from. It may already be true, it may be that the entire reason you’re reading the internet markeitng tools selling page is that you suffer from that exact problem, or it might be that upon recollection afterwards, you realise that the issues expressed in the sales pitch are totally relevant to you.

The second step is to suggest that the marketer knows of a solution, and goes on to list the benefits of using this particular solution. They then present you with testimonials, ‘proof’ if you will that their solution is the one for you. It then ends with a ‘call to action’, suggesting that you immediately take up their offer.

These kind of sales letters are actually really successful, mainly because of the journey that they take the reader on. The copywriter, or person who put the letter together, has a surprisingly large amount of emotional control over their reader, and can get them to part with often large amounts of cash through the clever use of internet marketing perceived value. But people are changing the way that they use the internet, and these pages are finding themselves becoming less popular.

That’s where video sales pages really shine.

A video sales page can do everything that a standard sales page can do, but does so using the medium of video. The user simply sits back, hits a button on their computer and is ‘presented’ to by the product owner or affiliate. A good video sales letter won’t have a fast-forward function, as the producer of the video sales letters wants the viewer to watch all of the way through, but you should always allow the viewer to pause if they need to, or resume from a certain point.

Videos are popular, people like them and more and more people are using the internet to view videos. Videos are also really ridiculously easy to make online. We’re not talking a full internet marketing video production crew and big budget here, we’re talking a slideshow with words over the top, but nevertheless still truly engaging for the viewer. If you don’t use them already, you should seriously consider making video sales pages part of your marketing strategy.
