Eight Tips For Effective SEO On Site And Article Titles And Description

We all want good SEO and search engine traffic and we all try so hard to succeed in achieving it. We write post after post and yet we wonder why are our articles not getting traffic?

Well let me explain a little tip that will better help your search rankings.

All sites and articles need effective titles, tags and descriptions. This will help you rank better in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

1. First hint is to always remember to write a unique title on all your articles and unique meta descriptions

because search engines LOVE unique and if you are just copying other sites titles and descriptions then the search engines will not rank you as high as the original websites that had the title.

2.Make sure that your titles are globally recognised and catchy so that users will be curious and interested to know more about your website.

3.Try including the title of your artle or site in your description.

4. Include your targeted keywords in your meta title but be sure not to overdo it. For meta description, just simply state what is the web page all about. Here are some hints:

Title between 50 – 60 Characters is the best,

Description should be used 180 to 245 Characters,

While the Keywords must be less than 320 Characters.

5. If there is a target location where you will promote your site or products, just put the location on the title and keywords as this will help search engines to add to correct location domain and users looking for that specific site in a specific location will find it easier.

6. Use different title tags for every single web page.

7. Do not use special characters in your meta tags.

8. The title and the description of your actual page should be exactly the same in your meta tags.

Facebook And Twitter To Take Over Google As The Big Giant

facebook-logoYou’ve probably heard it before or read about it on other blogs. Everyone is talking about it , everyone thinks that social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter are the future of online search and that Internet giant Google will become a thing of the past when it comes to search.

Search was always a word which came a long side Google. Everyone wanted to be listed on Google be the number one search result. Of course that is still an issue. But I’ve noticed lately that a lot of my traffic is now coming from Facebook and Twitter as appose to Google. With Facebook connect coming into its own its allowing Internet users to share what they are reading and news updates with their friends and groups. This is beginning to spread across the Internet.

twitter_logo_headerAs we move from a world of static search to real time search we are going to start seeing many changes. “What are YOU doing now” “What is on YOUR mind” these are all the questions hundreds of million of Internet users google_logoare answering on a daily basis. This is because social search which has been funded for years is beginning to take over. It is no wonder that Google like to keep a good relationship with Facebook and Twitter.

Facebook can rival Google because they have a huge member base in the excess of 300 million and hundreds new members signing up daily. Facebook has seen of rival myspace and is now taking the Internet by storm. But why is it I say that Facebook and Twittter will soon be the primary ways of searching? It’s simple lets say I wanted to know a good hotel in Florida , if I were to search Google I would be confronted with maybe given 30 – 40 million results. I’d get bored looking through these, why not simply go to facebook and put a status update and more than likely one of my friends have been too Florida before and can recommend something foe me. It’s all part of this new social search like searching for news results on Twitter or looking at Twitter trends and getting news as it happens. Google and Bing may have got a deal with Twitter to show live results in their search results but it wont be long until users homepages are set too Facebook and Twitter as the first places they go to find out the latest news.

Bing Twitter Search Goes Live

Yesterday we heard about the Bing-Twitter integration. Well you can now use the Bing and Twitter intergration as it has now gone live. You can try it on this link.

bingtwit

Twitter is not actually intergrated into the Bing search like first thought but actually sort of like a sub site. Bing has access to all of Twitters public timeline. When users use the Bing-Twitter search engine this is what they will be searching.

When a link is searched like above you see that they show the most prominent links being shared on Twitter about your searched topic and you can see what the Tritter community are saying about your searched term. Not only that but there is also a retweet button so you can share your results with others.
