TextPlus is here and it offers all users free text messaging. Powered by GoGII it allows any iphone or ipod touch to send free text messages to any phone/cell number in the US or internationally for free by using in-app advertising to cover the charges.
You can send unimited text messages with this service monthly as long as you have a wifi or a 3G connection. This is bound to attract a lot of users. You simply get a username which stands in for your phone number. It is going to make texting a lot easier and from what I have read on other forums , blogs and Twitter it seems as though it is well liked by the public.
TextPlus currently supports the following carriers; AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltel, US Cellular, Virgin Mobile, Nextel, Boost, Cellular One, Dobson, nTelos, Cellular South, CellCom, evol, ECIT, RINA, Bluegrass, Cox, Inland Cellular, West Central Wireless, Centennial, EKN, RCC, and Immix/Pc Management.
