Twitter Phishing Scam Alert

twitter_bird-300x198It looks like the Twitter scammers are at it again today. TechCrunch reports that users are receiving numerous direct messages on their Twitter accounts with phrases such as  “I made $426.23 online today with “link””

A lot of these also say ” I make money online with Google, here’s where I learned how “link”". A lot of users are now complaining about their accounts being hacked.

All these Direct messages are being sent from hijacked accounts and is a phishing scam to gain control of your account. Here is what you should do if you receive these Direct messages.

1: Do not Visit the link

2: Change your password if you think you have been compromised.

3. Do not give out your Twitter login info to any one you don’t trust.
