Using Google and Yahoo Cache to retrieve your website

Well guys I have been asked just how did I retrieve my full posts from the Google cache. Well now I ‘am going to write a detailed tutorial explaining to you all just how I done it. Mind you that you will need to look through Googles cache withing the first 2 days of losing your website or blog. Preferably straight away after losing it.

Now the problem I had was the server got an unrepairable error, so therefore all my pages and site were lost and were irretrievable. So basically I had to start from scratch. Always remember to back up your website frequently as it is by far the most important thing, as I found out the hard way. I also lost my domains newly gifted PR2 which I worked so hard to get :(

So now for the tutorial.

1. The first thing you should do is enter your domain name in the Google search box, in all the different ways. Eg.

So for example I entered the following

www.lolble.com

lolble.com

http://www.lolble.com

http:lolble.com

Now you check to see what two pages from your site that Google displays first. After this you click on the Cached pages link beside your result.

cached

Now after looking through this you should have found some pages of your site.

2. Now for the main part. I went to the site www.dnscoop.com. Here I entered in my domain name. I then clicked on where it said. To browse all links to pointing to lolble.com, click here.

Here I was brought to Yahoos site explorer. It show all incoming links to your site. Now what you want to do is click the “pages” tab beside the “inlinks” tab

cach2

Now on this page it will display all your pages that are indexed by Yahoo. Beside most the pages there is a cache button and here you can retrieve a large number of your posts. When it cam to my site there were 100 pages or there abouts indexed but only the first 15 were cached.

So how did I get the rest?

Well i went over to good ole google and I entered the link the pages.

Eg.

http://lolble.com/building-a-successful-paid-to-click-ptc-websites/

When I typed this in to Google and searched for it, in quotation marks

Now when I searched it showed just this page in the results first, and then other sites that had linked back etc. Because my link was first on the search engine I was able to see the cached version of the page. I done this with all the post links from my blog and all were indexed so showed up first. This allowed me to view the cached version.

That is how I got my blog posts back :D

Below is a video that I created showing me doing it for another sites domain.
