Both Google and Facebook released their very own URL shortheners last week. Fb.me and Goo.gl.
URL shortheners are becoming a must have these days and a lot of top brands are jumping on the band wagon.
The worlds largest video site youtube has now released their own URL shorthener youtu.be
Of course the shorthener is exclusive to only Youtube links which is no surprise. Its primarily function is to share youtube videos and channels with friends through youtubes autoShare feature.
This is a great move for the company and may just help sharing a lot as sometimes the links created by Youtube were really long and horrible looking.
